Brown Students, Faculty and Staff:
Brown Declining Balance Accounts: The Brown Card declining balance account can be used to make purchases at the Brown Bookstore, Campus Shop, Computer Store, Metcalf Copy Center, Registrar's Office, the Oxfam Cafe and food purchases without cash at any University Dining Services. To open an account, complete a Brown Card Declining Balance Account Application/Deposit Slip and mail it with a check made payable to Brown University for the intended amount to: Brown University Cashier's Office, Box 1911 Providence, RI 02912  Deposits may be made in person at: Cashier's Office Brown Office Building 164 Angell Street - 2nd floor

Checking Stock/Special Orders:
Looking for a specific book?  For general book titles email general_books@brown.edu or at textbooks@brown.edu for medical books and course books.  Special orders take a little longer and require a deposit, however, many titles may already be on order or are available from a distributor in 2 to 5 days. Customer Service can check stock and advise you on availability. If the book is in stock we are happy to put one aside for you, or to mail it to you.  If on order, we can email you when your book arrives. Or call 401-863-3168, outside RI 1-800-695-2050.
